The Tribe.

This will be the first and last time we fill the car up with more children than adults.. Enjoy it granny! It will not becoming a common occurance! hahaha

The 5 boys have been playing really well, we've only had 1 major blue and that was between brothers. A few age issues, but they all re-unite to play again.

GOD They EAT alot!! They are constantly playing so they need alot of feul to top them up.. I had to make piklets this morning as i was running out of other food items that would fill their tums up!

Took them all of 5 minutes to down a double batch of piklets and a cup each of milo.. Mum and Dad (to the 3 boys) are on their way back to pick them up. Although their youngest told me this morning that he was staying another 2 nights and wanted the Ben10 bed to sleep in tonight. I informed him he was going home today. His respone 'Oh' and walked off.. lol I think he is enjoying the trampoline a little too much!

anywho off the check the tribe and get some thinks done before i work tomorrow. Hope you've all had a good weekend. I'll be in bed early tonight ;-)

An extra 3!

See the extra 3 handsome devils in this photo (this was taken camping by the way).

We have them for a 2 night sleep over this weekend. Mum and Dad need to go on a special trip to see family. 5 boys in our house for over 48 hours... What did i get myself in for!! hahaha No Kidding, these boys play pretty darn good together. So i think it we will be fine. If all else fails, Winter has hit us, so they can always sleep outside with bruce! ;-)

Thankyou BLOGGER!

SO Blogger let me load photo's today, BUT not before not letting me sign into my blogger account.. What the?! I had to reset my password, even though i knew my password. Blogger wouldn't accept it, saying it was incorrect.. Incorrect my bum blogger! Start playing nicely for everyone!!

OK so here are some of our photo's, ben took more than me, his phone battery lasted longer than mine.. Will try get some of his loaded and put up on the weekend.

The view from my camp chair at our fire! LOVE IT!

The boys loved the prospect of going out each morning and seeing where the brumby tracks where, we even found some dingo tracks along the beach each morning as well. The brumbys have sort of taken over Rainbow Beach, walking where ever they want really.. 3 have taken up residence near the camp site we stayed at. You could hear there noises early in the morning. They didn't come too close to our camp ( I was worried they'd get caught up in some of our ropes) and we saw them but didn't get to close to them either, just a quick look from a distance then walked off for more adventures down the beach.

The beach

Blue Eyes being Blue Eyes!

This is our Nephew, he just insisted on me taking a photo of him pretending to surf on this bit of drift wood!!

Off to work for me today, it was a very cold day here yesterday, Boys are still sick. Cowboy getting better. Blue Eyes getting worse. Had a temperature last night, so need to watch him carefully today (well my mum has to anyway!) His cough doesn't sound good, but he doesn't cough very often so, hopefully a nice sunny day (like its shapeing up to be) will do him good!

Catch you all soon :-)

A photo Granny Wouldn't show!

This is how our shopping day's usually end up. (sorry Granny, had to take a photo and share)

You know when you think to yourself, i wish i had a camera so i could take a photo of you and show you just how silly you get sometimes child!! Well i had my phone handy and took a shot. Didn't go down well. But i now have this to show him. lol Am i mean mum? or just a mum who doesn't want my son crying yelling and stamping his feet at me through the shops?

Our shopping trip went all downhill, when a man (very very nasty rude words inserted here) needed to get to the front of the checkout line at our local Aldi store. Instead of saying excuse me. He pushed cowboy into our trolley to get through. Usually i don't say anything. But WTF you do not push my child, and especially INTO a trolley. I looked at the man and said, you could say EXCUSE ME you know!! He looked away and walked off... GRUMBLE. My boys know manners and if you ask them to move nicely they understand and will move. That set the mood for the rest of the shopping trip. So it's not hard to understand the above picture, i sort of felt like doing that as well!

This weekend is our local show. Ben gets to work there for his work. Showing off their meat! lol Our good friend the chocolate maker hehe is also there. Ben got us some season passes. So today we are off to look at everything during the day, Tomorrow night we will go and look at all the lights and fireworks. As long as it doesn't rain.. It rains this week every year. and makes the show one big slosh hole! Might put the gumboots on the boys for the night excursion!

anywho off to do my jobs before our adventure! Have a great day all :-)

My Helper

All it takes is a couple of private words with their daddy, and the boys will do whatever he wants them to. For Cowboys it's doing more things on his own. Shoes, socks getting dressed by himself etc. Blue eyes however, wants to do the washing up for me...

He does such a great job, Does get water everywhere, but hey it's only water!

We are off to do our shopping today, not sure how it will go, blue eyes is a little disgruntled this morning.

Have a great day everyone :-)

Yesterday was a very dreary day. Light rain almost all day. Not fun playing weather. So we spent the day inside.. Going crazy!! The boys spent most of their time 'camping' or 'fighting the baddies' and hiding out in their bedroom, which by the end of the day looked like a cyclone hit it! lol. Luckily they were good for me and helped me pack it up before dinner!!

We also made some yummy choc chip pikelets..

They are yummo, so yum in fact the boys ate all except 5. In total there would have been about 20 of them!

Today is shaping up to be a sunny one.. I'm off to work for awhile today. The boys will be off to Nanny's house. And more than likely going camping around her yard. They love this camping thing. Good thing we can take them camping for real and in a couple of weeks time!

Have a good day :-)

Sunshine!

The sun is shining bright today, has been for the last couple. It is wonderful. Nice and hot to dry up all the water across our state.. The rain we had has moved slowly down through NSW and is now into Victoria.. They are now flooding in parts.. When will it stop!!!

Onto something cute, lighten the mood a little.. Our boys have finally mastered the peddles on their bikes!! I took a video this morning of them. Of course our dog Bruce had to be in on the act!

They ride their bikes in our carport, it's really the only flat spot to ride. But now they have mastered it, we can take them to our local park and ride the paths and not get in any one's way!

Just a small post today, the boys are a little emotional/dramatic about everything, not sure why but I'll work it out! Catch you all soon :-)

P.s. A big high five and well done to all the volunteers helping everyone clean up across our state! Aussie Spirit is Alive and well!!

BOYS!!

We've had a few days of on and off showers and heavy rain. Yesterday the boys had, had enough and decided it was play time in the slosh we call our yard!

Blue Eyes enjoying himself!

Cowboy giving himself a bath apparently! and Enjoying it haha

The dog couldn't be out done he had to join in on the fun and games as well!! And got just as dirty as the boys, but poor Bruce will stay that way until a sunny day, as it is pouring again whilst i type this..

After enough in the slosh, it was time to jump it off!

Our summer this year is suppose to be wetter than normal... I'm not happy with this, But can't change it! It hasn't really heated up a great deal, still some humid days from the rain but not as hot as it usually is this time of year...
We had a great time at Ben's work Xmas party on the weekend, the boys got to see Santa, get some lollies and balloon swords to play with. And other kids to wear them out! Oh and a jumping castle they loved it. Topped off with a sleepover at nana and grandads house. Perfect!
Hope you all had a great weekend as well :-)

Things that go BUMP in the Night!

Ben and I were woken suddenly last night with a very LOUD thud sound coming from the other end of the house (kitchen area).

Which was followed by.......

A very LOUD scared crying little boy sitting the in dark by himself because he tripped over..

Yes Blue eyes has decided to take up sleep walking. He very much dislikes the dark, so i know for sure he did not venture out of his room AWAKE. He was very much ASLEEP until tripping over and waking himself up. He was very quiet on his venture. Usually i here any movement or footsteps coming from their room walking on to the hard floor. But last night i heard nothing until he tripped.
Now after that incident Blues took forever to go to sleep as he was terrified of what had happened. And when i made it back to my bed ben flipped out and thought he heard him walking around again... So i spent the next hour thinking of scenario's of what he might do on his sleepwalking.. The one that most feared me was opening the front door and going for a wonder without me hearing.. But i would hear him wouldn't i. I mean our front door is a glass sliding door and a screen door and if i lock both i'm sure i would hear him opening them and catching him before he gets outside.... WOULDN'T I????????

My sil has told me about some sleep walking she did and still does sometimes and it terrifies me... Any advice is much aprreciated as you can see the wonderful thoughts i am having about this experience.

Hope you all have a great day, I'll be thinking up ways to block our doorwarys at night whilst we sleep!

Its easy to get sidetracked!!

Saturday was filled with windy rainy weather. But when it wasn't raining we went outside to do some work.

Working hard for mummy and daddy. We harvested the rest of our onions and the leek we had (which today i made a soup with!) and cleaned out the gardens and dug them over a little.

Until someone found something

Oh look a worm, or as Blue eyes says WORMIE!!!

teasing the worm, by pretending to put him back in the garden.. Wormie stayed around for awhile to play, whether he liked it or not!

Big brother noticing that little brother is not working anymore and wondering why. Poor wormie ended up in 2 soon after this photo was taken.. The rain soon set in again after our garden work.

This is the garlic we had growing. We decided to peel some and sit them in oil so they last longer for us. But some how i don't think we grew enough. what we have wont last very long. We love our garlic.

On Sunday we had organised to go down to our friends place, for a fish and to watch the v8's race bathurst. But it was raining AGAIN! We left very early in the morning and pulled up along the Noosa River so Ben could have a fish...

Fishing in the rain.

I went and got a coffee and some breaky from the bakery across the road before Ben set out. The lady asked me what we had planned for the day. I told her of my plans to sit in the car with my boys and my coffee and watch my husband do some fishing.. She had a very good laugh at me! And Proclaimed at least hubby was thinking of me when suggesting i sit in the car, while he fishes.

Ben didn't fish for too long. The wind was very strong and cold. So we set sail for our friends place. And we decided to take all little boys (5 in total) plus their 2 mums to see Despicable Me. Whilst their daddy's had a few beers and watched the car race. So we still had a very good day, even if it was raining. Ben was most upset that he didn't get to fish properly. He will get to go again soon, we are going on a fishing charter in a few weeks time for our wedding anniversary, without little boys to take over fishing time. So fingers crossed the rain stops and the fish are a biting!!

Hope you all had a great weekend :)

12 Months Siezure FREE!!

Whilst talking with my sil at our family get together the other weekend. I came to the realisation that it has been over 12 MONTHS since our little blue eyed devil of an ANGEL has had a Febrile Convulsion / Seizure.. We have had a few close calls in the last 12 months, and if i hadn't of prepared ourselves properly with the right tools would have had more convulsions than none! This also doesn't mean he has grown out of them yet, we still have at least 4 years until that happens... So still a long way to go, but one year down with none is fabulous. Small steps at a time!

I must admit (and I'm sure his grandma's do this as well although wouldn't admit to it, I'm looking at you Granny hehe :)) I do on a daily basis check his temperature, just by rubbing my hands over his face and around his neck and then on his belly. I do it now out of habit. The convulsions can come on so fast, so i wouldn't even be able to tell you how many times a day i do it as i just do it now sub concsiously and when i feel warmth on him, my brain kicks in and i rip his shirt off get him and drink and cool him down. We've got a good routine now!

OK so some more realisations this morning, while looking for a photo here on our computer I've found its been well over a year since I've organised the photo's into their right folders.. That is going to be a fun job NOT!

And i can not remember the last time i read some of my book... I've been slack with that one! I don't start work until 11am this morning so I'm going to park my bum while the boys have a play outside and read some before jetting off to work!

Hope your all having a great week, we are having sunshine in the mornings and dark clouds/sometimes rain the afternoon... Spring is here and summer definitely on its way!

One Tired little Boy!

I couldn't help myself, This is the second time within a week that blue eyes has fallen asleep at the table. This time it took him a little longer to actually go to sleep, as he was still hungry and really wanted to keep eating! hehe

I filmed it on my phone and had it around the wrong way, so you'll need to tilt your head, but you'll get the idea and how funny and cute he is!

Angus Sound asleep on his chair!

Look at this fat Backside!!

The other day Both Ben and I noticed, someone in the family has gotten a little bigger pretty fast over the last couple of weeks.... So i took a photo to show you..

It's not the best photo, but this is Bruce (or dog) and his new found figure..

This is an old photo and doesn't really show how lean he once was, but I'm sure you can get the idea! We recently (only a handful of weeks) have been feeding our fatty bum a premium dry dog food. My brother got it from his work for us, and told us not to feed him too much. So we followed the instructions, but he still got fat/bigger lol. I caught 2 little helpers the other day feeding Bruce during the day (outside playtime) SO our little dog has turned into a bigger dog thanks to 2 little helpers!

Yesterday the boys and i went down to the shops for awhile and had some lunch with some very good friends. I took the boys into the toy shop for a look. They were very well behaved and didn't throw any tantrums upon leaving. So they got a ride in the coin operated car ride at the front door.

Boys driving Brum. They loved it, it didn't go for long enough i think but still enjoyable for them.

This weekend is mostly another one at home, which will be good. Get more jobs done! Hope you've all had a great week :-)

Family DO.

We had an excellent weekend at my parents house. Just about all our cousins turned up for our family get together. The boys had a blast playing with the little cousins. As usually i forgot to take alot photo's so i only have a few to show you!

after a big day of playing they all tried to fit in the bath together! a little squishy but they got clean.

The morning after, most had a sleep in so we had a lateish breakfast, but it was a big one. We did not need lunch!

enjoying breakfast.

Mum's flower garden.

Dad's bamboo/ tropical garden.

This is the driveway my boys and my brothers kids (in the bath with the boys) ride their lil plastic toddler bikes down... Really fast as well..

After taking this photo it kinda looks like the boys are actually sitting in a rainforest!

This week is back to normal for work for me. Time to catch up on all my house duties. And I've started toilet training blue eyes again. He didn't quite get it last summer. So now its started to warm up, I'm going to give him all spring and summer to try "catch on" to this toilet thing! haha Wish me luck!

Hope you all had a great weekend :-)

Double Trouble!

Last night was spent jumping between, my bed, Blue eyes and Cowboy! They both have had a minor temp. Cowboys is gone now, don't know what the deal is with him, he hasn't had a temp since he was 2... Blue eyes on the other hand geez!!! He has his second molars still popping through on the bottom so I know his deal! Just wish he wouldn't get the temps with it.. He got to 38C we got him down from there straight away. He woke with it at that temp, so i fixed it fast so it wouldn't jump any higher.

They are both currently asleep on the lounge chair.. I was as well about half hour ago. lol. Trying to catch up on some sleep. I think it was a grand total of about 4 hours, but very broken! We drove Ben to work this morn as it was raining, not very good riding weather! We have a play date today, Don't know if I'm looking forward to it more than the boys. They have a wonderful cubby house with slide and swings, if only i were a kid again! hehe. I think its that the boys will be playing with 2 girls that is putting cowboy off. But once he gets there i know he'll jump right in always does! haha.

Anyway time to go, oh we had a wonderful weekend at the races. Got home at 3 am!!!! Was a great time! Hope you all had a great weekend! :-)

Happy Birthday Cowboy.

Cowboy had a wonderful Birthday. A play and some morning tea at the park. Lots of prezzies! And great company. Was only a small morning tea, but we were there until lunch time so they all had a excellent long play! We couldn't even get him to rest when we got home. He had to sit and look through his goodies! Blue eye's past out for about 2 hours, poor thing woke up sick :( To big a weekend for him i think!

Here are some photo's from our play at the park. Wish i had of video'd some of the prezzie openings. Cowboys little squeal of delight opening them was hilarious!

Feeding the ducks.

I love this photo, Cowboy and our friends middle son deep in conversation!

Looking for Turtles, catfish and eels. Behind the safety of the bridge rails!

I'm very glad we got him a bike, he loves it a lot. And is mastering it really well!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend :-)

Find of the Week.

I've known about this one for a few weeks now, but this week was the first week that i was able to get it.

A friend of mine has started up Ozzy Fresh Produce. She goes down once a week to the fresh fruit and vege market in Brisbane and stocks up, to then sell to us the public! She has two different sized boxes for sale a small $30 box and a Large $50 box. We got the small box this time. We don't live that far away from Brisbane, but still our supermarkets fruit and vege aren't great alot of the time.. So it is excellent to be able to buy something we know is fresh, and it also gets delivered to us, either to our home or work! Love it!! I think she is on to a winner!

Our Yummy Box!

This weekend is another busy one, a first birthday party tomorrow afternoon and Cowboys birthday on Sunday! I purchased a bike for him the other day, and put it together myself. I was very proud of myself, and so was Ben! Only part i couldn't do was connecting the front brakes. It wasn't in the instructions which was strange but Ben knew how to do it so i left it to him. Cowboy doesn't know what he is getting and won't get it until we take him to the park on Sunday! I think I'm just as excited as him! Cowboy is getting very excited, counting down each sleep until the big day.. So excited that he's started wetting the bed every night this week! So last night and the next couple of nights he will wear a nappy to bed, I'm a little over the midnight bed and pj changing the washing everyday and getting both boys back to sleep after the above mentioned process... Gah!

But anyway, time to bath the boys! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :-)

Australia Zoo.

Here is a snap shot of our day at Australia Zoo! We had a fantastic day, Ben and i loved it just as much if not more than the boys did! If your visiting Australia or the Sunshine Coast area this is a must. It is well worth the money!

The bus left at an early 7.30am!

So an early morning rise was needed!!

The boys were so well behaved on the bus trip down, a movie helped occupy the constant question from cowboy "how much longer to the zoo?"!

We made it in great time and arrived before the zoo was opened. We studied the map, hired a stroller and set off to look at the otters then the lizards.

The boys looking in on a Komodo Dragon.

A Jabaru. This handsome fellow was in the wildlife show, he flew down over the roof and audience. Only about a meter away from us in the air. The ladies behind us got a fright and screamed!

Graham the crocodile helping with the wildlife show in the crocaseum.

The wildlife show was a great way to take a break and listen to some very useful information about some of our native wildlife.

We had some lunch after this and then set off to find some more animals.

The beautiful elephants finishing their display, they had a swim after this and made huge racket! We also looked in on the Tigers, but it was quite a hot day on Saturday and by the time we made our way there they were having a rest. Bit too hot for playing!

We walked back through the koala walk and Roo haven.

Mumma and Bubba Koala having a kip.

Blue eyes with Molly the Koala.

Cowboy with a Kangaroo.

My Little Croc Hunter!

Even though I live in Australia I have never seen a Cassowary close up. I myself did not realise how big they actually are!

Ice - cream break! We were getting so hot that the pools in the croc enclosure's were looking quite nice for a cool off.. If only they weren't already occupied!

Agro the Salt water Crocodile

Agro showing off! Not many teeth left in this old fella's mouth. He is roughly 4.5m in length.

Scrappa is Agro's son.

By gift shopping time, the boys had almost enough. Blue eye's decided it was time for a nap!

So we sat down by the statues took some photo's and had a play with our items from the gift shop. There are so many things to see and do, I am pretty certain we didn't see and do all of it! They are currently building a cheetah enclosure, so who knows how much more they will have for us to see the next time we get there! Cowboy was a little upset he didn't get to see Terri, Bindi or Bob (the did walk through the zoo but we weren't at the right place at the right time). Even though he is only 4 he knows who Steve Irwin is! He has only seen Steve a handful of times on TV or on his Wiggles dvd. But knows about him and what he does.. At lunch time he asked where Steve was.. We didn't quite know how to answer, then he piped up and suggested that he was probably in the crocodile suit that we saw in the crocodile show. We didn't tell him exactly what happened to Steve, I don't think he is quite old enough yet. But it amazing that just a handful of years on, a little boy who was only a baby at the time knows all about him! And Loves him, even before going to the zoo he has pretended to be the croc hunter catching and releasing crocs!!

I hope you enjoyed our photo's, it was hard deciding which ones to put up (that is why there are quite a few!) This weekend is Cowboys 4th birthday, so we will be organising a little morning tea for him! Hope your week is starting out well :-)
