SO Blogger let me load photo's today, BUT not before not letting me sign into my blogger account.. What the?! I had to reset my password, even though i knew my password. Blogger wouldn't accept it, saying it was incorrect.. Incorrect my bum blogger! Start playing nicely for everyone!!


OK so here are some of our photo's, ben took more than me, his phone battery lasted longer than mine.. Will try get some of his loaded and put up on the weekend.

The boys loved the prospect of going out each morning and seeing where the brumby tracks where, we even found some dingo tracks along the beach each morning as well. The brumbys have sort of taken over Rainbow Beach, walking where ever they want really.. 3 have taken up residence near the camp site we stayed at. You could hear there noises early in the morning. They didn't come too close to our camp ( I was worried they'd get caught up in some of our ropes) and we saw them but didn't get to close to them either, just a quick look from a distance then walked off for more adventures down the beach.

Off to work for me today, it was a very cold day here yesterday, Boys are still sick. Cowboy getting better. Blue Eyes getting worse. Had a temperature last night, so need to watch him carefully today (well my mum has to anyway!) His cough doesn't sound good, but he doesn't cough very often so, hopefully a nice sunny day (like its shapeing up to be) will do him good!

We Are Home!

I was going to give you a quick snap shot of our camping trip But Blogger is being a pain and doesn't want to post my photo's! :-(.

We did however have a wonderful time. No rain, a few clouds. They kept it warmer over night though. A lot of Sunshine and adventures! Cowboy has a little cold though, but on our last days, he and blue eyes kept repeating that they LOVE camping! We had friends come visit and enjoy the fun with us! What more can you ask for..

Oh I know, someone to unpack everything for me and do all the washing... PLEASE!!

Birthday!

Yesterday was my Mummy's Birthday.




This is my Mum with Kookie, her local 'friend' who she feeds pretty much on a daily basis! He is getting so attached/tame that he lets mum feed him out of her hand and sometimes just flys in and lands on her to tell mum he is hungry. Well we think it's a he, although some time ago Kookie was taking the meat back to a nest (hollow in a neighbours tree) so we aren't really sure, haven't seen any babies either.


The boys and i went over to my Bro and Sil house for dinner and some cake! yum! I had my fingers crossed big time that Aus Post was going to deliver my Mum's Prez yesterday. But they failed to do that. It was sent platinum express on Monday, and platinum is guaranteed next day delivery.. Not in our region it's not.. Anyway It is very much worth the wait. I came across a wonderful lady on Facebook who has a page called the Crystal Griffin, who stamps sterling silver pendants with what you want on them and adds all sorts of bling to them!

I got mum the family tree! Love it!



Can't wait to get myself one! It comes with a sterling sliver chain as well. My photo just doesn't do it justice!

Tomorrow we are off camping for 6 days! YAY!! I've been busy packing the last few days and organising everything for us to leave early tomorrow morning! Not sure if we are taking the computer, so i may or may not do a post between tomorrow and next Tuesday. But i hope you all have a great weekend. I will take a heap of photo's and do a post on our arrival home!

We had a wonderful weekend camping. A few showers here and there, but we did not get rained out or flooded out like previous camping trips! The temperature's were perfect. Nice and warm during the day for playing, Nice a cool at night for snuggling around the campfire!

When the tide goes out here, it well and truly goes out. But it also makes for alot of fun in the sandy mud or the muddy sand!! And puddles!



We took our time packing up and leaving on Monday, we didn't really want to leave. The car must have known this, as it didn't want to start.. A dead battery! Luckily for the first time ever of us camping out there someone else was camping there as well. Well the whole place was packed out. We are usually the only ones. We had a lovely gentleman charge our battery for an hour off his generator. Hope you all had a great weekend as well.

I have to go and brainstorm some mothers day prezzies for our mothers!!

Another Long Weekend.

This weekend coming we have another public holiday. So we are off camping!

There weather is starting to get cooler, mainly at night, the daytime still likes to confuse us and get hot! But the cooler nights mean a campfire at our campsite!! One thing i am most looking forward to.

So today i am organising some of our stuff for camping, mainly clothing and food. Ben has already got the equipment ready. Fishing rods were first done on his list, closely followed by the tent and cooking utensils! He is very excited about fishing. Although we have never had a great deal of luck fishing where we are going, but you never know this weekend just may be our weekend for fishing. And surprise surprise, the weather forecast is for some showers. Wouldn't be a normal camping trip for us unless we have the possibility of rain! At least now we don't get our big summer storms, that season has passed.

The little boys are excited, cowboy keeps asking every morning when he wakes up if we are going camping today. He gets very upset when i tell him its not today.. He will hit the roof with excitement tomorrow morning!

Anyway I'm off to get organised, my camera batteries are charging so i will have some photo's to show you!

Camping weekend away..

Ben and i had a wonderful weekend away, camping, fishing and having a few drinks!!

We did however have a bit of trouble finding a camping spot. There was alot more people out at Rainbow Beach than we had anticipated.. Especially camping at Inskip Point. We had a couple of mishaps trying to find a camping spot and setting up the tent. We got bogged the first sandy track we went up, misjudged how deep the soft sand was, (all the strong winds and hardly any rain has made almost all the tracks very very soft). So we drove around for about and hour trying to find a spot. We finally decided on one we had chosen as a last resort, which turned out to be a pretty decent spot, as the wind was really blowing we were far enough away from the beach that we were covered from most of it.

So we got the tent out and started getting it ready. Ben then called our friends who had come out for an afternoon drive, while Ben was on the phone, i discovered that we had left the pegs for the tent at home... and upon putting the poles through we found that we had mixed up the poles as well.. That's what we get when we keep tent pegs and poles from old tents lol. The tent was sleepable, not as spread out as it normally would be, but it was only for Ben and i, it didn't matter a great deal, it stayed still and the airbed fitted perfectly!

It doesn't look too bad from this photo, but it had a funny lean to it!

This was the beautiful sunset at Carlo Point. Lots of people turned up to watch, so we sat in the car and ate our dinner. Ben had a seafood basket and i had a chicken burger.


We then went night fishing at Bullock Point. This is where the barges are laid to rest of a night.We fished off the boat ramp in between barges. Ben caught a little brim, and i managed to cast far enough to catch a barge. The Fraser Explorer to be exact, it may have even been The Fraser Explorer II can't really remember lol.

Here is Ben fishing next to the Manta Ray Barge, he wanted to hope on and it fish off it, as it was right next to the old jetty, but their sign says video surveillance and he didn't want to risk it lol.
After fishing awhile we went back to our campsite and had a few drinks and played some cards, Ben taught me yet again how to play poker and seems as though i am pretty good at it when i remember how it all works lol

This was when i woke up Sunday morning, looking from our campsite down to the beach! Great view.

After packing up camp we went back to Bullock Point for a cooked breaky and some fishing. We caught a small brim and whiting, i caught a gar fish (actual fish this time!). 2 sting rays tried to chase Ben back to shore lol! During high tide Bullock Point is a very busy place, everyone using the boat ramp, fishing off the very old falling apart jetty, and a family turned up with a jet ski, a very nice jet ski at that!

This is part of the jetty, there is a big steel fence at the start of the jetty to deter people using it, but they still climb over.

Break time for brunch! we had another fish after this and then packed up and went home.

We had a fantastic weekend, it was nice to get to the beach and not have to chase little boys away from the waters edge and to fish without worrying about where they were running to! And of course to spend some quiet time with Ben was great, we actually had conversations without being interrupted!

Hope you all had a great weekend as well, i know the boys had a blast at granny and pa's house, they wanted to stay 2 nights not just 1 lol.
